• Otovent Ear Treatment (Child) Otovent Ear Treatment (Child) Otovent Ear Treatment is a drug-free, non-surgical device designed to help relieve negative middle ear pressure and glue ear in children aged 3 years and over. It works by using a specially designed nasal balloon to help open the Eustachian tube, support pressure equalisation, and encourage fluid drainage from the middle ear. Treatment should always be supervised by an adult. How It Works The child inflates the Otovent balloon through one nostril while the other nostril is closed. This gentle autoinflation technique increases pressure in the nose and may help open the Eustachian tube. The process is then repeated on the other nostril. A small popping sensation in the ear can indicate successful pressure equalisation.
