Our herringbone tea towels are made from sustainable, organic cotton grown without pesticides and with respect for nature. Our tea towels are entirely natural and biodegradable, meaning they don't release microplastics when they break down. The problem with synthetic tea towels Many of us don’t realise that most tea towels are made from microfibres, which are a type of plastic. Every time you wash this synthetic fabric, millions of microfibres are released into the water. These fibres are too small to be filtered out by waste treatment plants, so they end up in our waterways and oceans, where they wreak havoc on marine animal health and our environment. Simply throw your organic cotton tea towel into the washing machine on a hot wash. You can put your dishcloths into the tumble dryer, but avoid fabric softener as it will reduce their absorbency.
